Fine Bowl in African Mahogany
HERE's the first bowl from the African Mahogany I bought at a garage sale a few weeks ago. I've already made several pairs of salad servers from the first piece and sold them all. As often happens, though, the end of the board ran off into some really interesting 'slash' grain ... most likely as the section of tree ran into a crutch, or a branch protruded out. Not only does it get impossible to line up utensils with this sort of grain ... but it's waste.
